About YIDA INTERNATIONAL

Yireh International Development Agency (YIDA) Ghana LBG is a health-focused social enterprise working at the intersection of public health, social innovation, and community empowerment. We were founded in response to one of Ghana’s most pressing but under-addressed challenges: the rising tide of cardiovascular and non-communicable diseases (NCDs). These conditions now claim nearly half of all lives lost annually. They are silent, chronic, and often preventable.

YIDA’s work is built on a conviction that health equity is central to human dignity and national progress. Our mission is to bridge the gap between policy and people, transforming national health priorities into practical, community-led interventions that save lives and sustain livelihoods. We work with the Ministry of Health, Ghana Health Service, and local partners to deliver health screenings, education, and social enterprise initiatives that empower communities to take charge of their wellbeing.

At YIDA, we believe prevention should not be a privilege — it should be part of everyday life.

OUR MISSION

To deliver sustainable, community-based health initiatives that prioritise prevention, early detection, equitable access, and long-term resilience, ensuring that no Ghanaian is left behind in the pursuit of health and dignity.

OUR VISION

A Ghana where communities are not passive recipients of aid but active participants in shaping their own health outcomes; where prevention is normalised, care is accessible, and resilience is built from the ground up.

Our Values

• Equity – Every community deserves the same chance to live a healthy life.
• Integrity – We work with transparency, humility, and accountability.
• Collaboration – We believe real transformation is collective.
• Innovation – We design evidence-based, locally adapted solutions.
